WARRIOR HOMELESS OUTREACH/ NETWORK PAGE
The purpose of this page, "Warrior Homeless Outreach/ Network Page" is to help guide the Warrior/ Veteran to get informed about opportunities to find organizations that help 'Homeless Veterans' in the U.S. & Globally, and to also get the public aware about the issues coming out of the 'Veteran Homeless Community' around the world & the U.S. with how politics have been plaguing the homeless veteran community by causing the homeless veteran/ the taxpayers being affected the most by failing & broken promises politically; and failing policies.

Facts about the homeless veteran community:
Veterans are 50% more likely to become homeless than other Americans due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing. About 1.5 million veterans are considered at-risk of homelessness (Google.com).

Note: Warrior Tim knows very well what it means to be homeless as a 'disabled combat veteran' after coming back from serving in the U.S. Army in combat: Warrior Tim struggled with untreated 'drug addictions/ mental health illnesses/ mental health disorders' that helped contribute to becoming a homeless combat veteran for a while, in which Warrior Tim was subjected to the elements of the environment of being homeless.
For examples: 1) Squatting in abandon houses & buildings, parks, sidewalks, couch hopping, and at times staying at "Homeless Shelters" 2) Eating out of trash cans/ dumpsters. 3) Warrior Tim would beg on the streets for money. But, eventually Warrior Tim would get help from the Dept. of the VA, and then Warrior Tim would eventually start a homeless shelter in Topeka, KS, USA back in 2011 called the "Quincy House". Warrior Tim as a disabled combat veteran was the founder/ director/ minister/ and was able to establish the first 'Faith-Based Veteran Homeless Outreach Program in Topeka, KS that had a unique and special programs for Veterans who were homeless by living on the streets or of those who had no where else to go because other Homeless Programs that are from the community or even the Dept. of the VA wouldn't accept the homeless veterans in their homeless programs.
Furthermore, Warrior Tim through a process that all veterans had to go through because of the structured but fair program that Warrior Tim had established, and if approved because of meeting the requirements: the veteran would be a 1st class grassroot veteran homeless program.
Unfortunately, after Warrior Tim passed the torch to another veteran (Ret. Combat Veteran: Cameron Taylor), the Quincy House would end due to many factors after over a year of when Warrior Tim handed the Quincy House over to Mr. Taylor in which Warrior Tim before handed over the Quincy House, Warrior Tim was able to keep it going for over a year, and handed over a seasoned, fully functional/ operational & fully occupied "Quincy House" before existing out as the founder/ the first director of the Quincy House.
The underline factor in which Warrior Tim noticed of why after he handed the Quincy House over to a new "Director" was the new Director was unable to keep the Quincy House to live on: it is because of lacking in funding, poor leadership & mismanaging the Quincy House by deviating from the past successful structured/ successful in house policies & the terms & conditions, and programs in which proved to help benefit many who came through the doors of the Quincy House before Warrior Tim moved on with other opportunities of doing other missions & projects; because also Warrior Tim giving another "Veteran" a chance of an opportunity to keep the Quincy House going for the benefit of helping the veteran community; ultimately Warrior had done more than enough; and needed to move on.
Lastly, know this: helping the homeless veteran community isn't for everyone, and is a very challenging but complicated experience. Since there is still a need around the world for grassroots veteran homeless programs because due to the fact that many governments around the world keep dropping the ball by not being able to live up to the promises & hold onto the duties of responsibilities to meet the demands of the homeless communities, and because of that there is a need to have others pick up the slack in which the Dept. of the VA isn't capable or willing to meet the demands or the epidemic of veterans still being homeless or becoming because of many reasons, and one being veterans still being left behind or lack of funding or resources for the veteran community.
The female veteran counterpart of the veteran community are becoming more homeless than ever before, so we encourage anyone to get informed, and get linked with what we have provided in this page, because it is vital that we don't stop of fighting the good fight by being proactive when there are those who keep missing the mark on not helping the veteran community.
