Let's keep it real shall we? The Native Americans have been instrumental during wars, conflicts, and battles for generations upon generations from the past to current for countries that have not treated them to fairly.
The Native Americans have not just helped with the efforts of winning wars, conflicts, and battles for the United States, but for other countries as well. It is very interesting how some want to distort the Native American heritage by just bringing to the historical table of the negatives but have no problems ignoring the real historical facts of truth of the real stories about Native Americans.
We need to be asking the question after what the Native Americans have done for America and other countries: why is it that in the present time they are still being looked at as the ones who should be neglected and mistreated by those who are ignorant of the facts about their real heritage in North America, and of the many who sacrificed for the United States and other countries while serving in the military?
What else is interesting is how presently in time how many are ignorant about those who are Native American by the young generation because what has recently been in the spotlight with a bunch of MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat wearing foolish youth punks that were displaying such disrespectful and childish behaviors, such as Nick Sandmann by mocking those who were peacefully assembling in-which is a right that is protected by the 1st Amendment Right, regardless he was more mild manner then the others around him. I know there are so many sides of the story, but regardless that the Elder Native American Veteran (Nathan Phillips) didn't serve overseas during Vietnam: The Native American Veteran served. Now, yes, please keep in mind there are many sides to the story of the kid and kids of the controversial and hot topic of what took place between Nick Sandmann & the Native American Elder Veteran (Nathan Phillips), but regardless the youth of the present times have been becoming very disrespectful and very unruly and society and American culture can be blamed because of kids being raised to be little spoiled little brats, but of course it isn't the case for all but many.
So, lets explore the history of the Native American Veterans: shall we?! Well, there are different accounts of the historical insights of the history of our Native American Veterans, but from what I have learned in College and elsewhere: I will do my best to bring you what I have learned and researched in College and on my own independently from the past to presently about Native American Veterans.
During WWII the "Windtalkers" who were Marines and Soldiers who were able to keep the Nazi German's from breaking the code the U.S. Armed Forces used to keep the Nazi German's from knowing what the battle commands were on the battlefield by decoding messages that were being forwarded in the battlefields. That is one example. During the Civil War the Union & Confederates used Native American's to scout for them. After the Civil War the Union Army used Native Americans to keep scouting for them while serving as paid soldiers in the U.S. Army. During the Revolution War the Native Americans were used as "Scouts" as well, and with all the other wars in the past and presently they were not just "Scouts", but were killers, they were natural born "Warriors" because of their Native American Veteran heritage.
The Native American Veterans have been very instrumental in the success of past wars, conflicts, and battles in American history, and in North America period. Many of them are very skilled, intelligent, ambitious, and hardworking/ disciplined Veterans who come from a long Native American bloodline that has a mix of North American Caucasian bloodline of Warriors as well.
Yes, in the past the Native Americans were looked as being savages but it is interesting how when looked at as savages they were used and needed for the U.S. government and the U.S. government had no problem taking advantage of these savages: now did they?
Nope, and please, don't forget the white-man stole and killed millions of Native Americans all for the pursuit of happiness, and for the greater good of the Republic, but when they needed the Native Americans to serve for their pleasure and for their needs to be met: The U.S. government didn't bat an eye to use these so called "Savages"; now did they?
Nope, not at all, regardless of the past relationship between the U.S. government and the Native Americans.
The Native Americans have been lied to, made into slaves, and have been mistreated, and neglect way worse than any other group from what I can tell, and are still being pushed around by the U.S. government, and many are ignorantly still in this day of age parading around like morons: all because it is still the in thing to do, even though it really was never a cool thing to do in the first place to use the Native Americans as if it is Okay or even the thing to consider, especially knowing how instrumental and of a life saving culture that literally saved the "Colonies" coming from Europe by reaching out to those who needed help to survive in the "New Land". And, NO, not all Native Americans were acting as savages but were very kind, helpful, and wanted to be hospitable host to strangers from a far-land they never even knew existed or at least forgot about the other side of the North-West part of the North America where the "Bering-Straight" was seemed to be known as the pathway of where many of the Native American ancestors used to migrant from the East on the other side of the continent.
There have been thousands upon thousands of Native American's who served in the U.S. military and have fought & sacrificed while wearing the uniform all the whole while the same government hired them to be their G.I. that same government treated them as misfits and savages and kept their people suppressed by taking more from them until they had no means to even really have much a Native American culture but have been forced to in many cases to be reeducated to be transformed as so called civilized people that the U.S. government thought would be the right approach to take for the Native American's.
So, I have just gave you some real truth about our Warrior Native Americans: despite of the past helped the U.S. win wars.
Yes, there is a lot I left out because to be honest to really tell you more I probably would have to right a book on the Native American Veterans, and that has been done before. There have been books, and even movies created about many aspects of our Native American Veterans.
So, this last thing I would like to say to those who thinks that treating others a different way all because what you have been taught by those who obviously are fools teaching others to be fools: stop, think, and ask yourself why am I treating others as if I am better then they are when actually you probably are not better then those who are classed as the minority all because of the label given by a government and groups of people supporting it of those who keep suppressing those who have done more for the United States despite of the tense and very dark history of America that the U.S. government cringes when people know the truth about how a country from the past all the way up to now keep trying to keep the Native Americans from being who they ought to be regardless of what others think: and that is to be the Native American that is for many flowing in their veins of the real Native Warrior who once use to be a flourishing Nation of Natives who of them gave back to those while being betrayed and still are being disrespected and betrayed.
The U.S. still has the black eye and dirty laundry, and skeletons in the closet that has never really been dealt with: I suggest today is a great day to repent and correct the past and go a different direction in the present time by stop being the government who obviously still have issues with Native American's and their rich and colorful culture.
When will Native Americans every be left alone to live a life they were destined to live without the interruptions by a government who clearly can't take care of their own people, and never was very good at being honest and fair in the first place that had no issues playing dirty tricks, and of course the U.S. government is still up to their old tricks? I guess it is true that it is hard to teach old dogs new tricks!
Author Notes:
The sad truth is that what is going on with the Native Americans now is that there are still people choosing to be ignorant of not knowing the truth of the past: and if that isn't alarming then I guess the future will be the only know thing to be aware of and the past will just be an inconvenience as it seems to be now of being a reminder that the past gets in the way with progress while many say the past can be learned from: but who needs to learn from the past seem to be creating the old into the new same old business of the past.
As a disabled combat veteran, I am very grateful an honored to be part of a military family where there have been thousands upon thousands of Native Americans who have served in the military family of Warriors who many have served with honors and have been awarded medals from the "Medal of Honor" to the "Silver & Bronze Star", etc.
